I think this game is 85% a virtual studio to take pictures, and 15% an Action RPG.
Maybe you can change this by trying the game in higher difficulty.
And the obvious reply is : Wait for the game to develop to have end game content like the Arena. Maybe there the game will get to be 50% of both aspects.
I'm waiting for the new maps to appear.
I don't really do the other activities since I do 3D animation on my own so it's not that interesting. I like to kill time trying to refine my way of beating the bad guys.
I also play Conan Exiles, Skyrim, and other games alternately each day.
Go play other games and come back later. Everyone else right here isn't really playing, they are making use of free pose to take artistic shots.
On the nexus, there's mod that levels up all the campaign maps by a set amount each time you do them. Default is 5 levels at a time, but you can change that to be more or less. This way you can replay all the checkpoints and keep levelling up with you.
The author of that mod has done several. I'm also using one that tells you what category equipment is. This really should be put into the game. ie: the staves are labelled as "common axe" instead of just "common". Also one that allows you to use those treasure items for a chance to enchant equipment.
I love that last one. You can still only have two enchants per item, and there's a good chance for failure (higher quality treasures give higher chance of success), so it keeps the loot hunt going.
