Can't jump far enough

I love this beautiful game but I have tried jumping from rock to rock and ledge to ledge so many times and failed over and over again falling into the water then starting all over again. I am embarrassed to say I tried for 3 hours trying with keypad and mouse ( W+ Shift and space bar ) then tried xbox 360 controller with no luck. After hours of jumping and falling down, I lost patience and quit so I had to start chapter 3 all over again because the game did not save my place. I want to play this game but it is so frustrating trying to jump far enough. I tried running/sprinting before jumping but still can't reach far enough . I finally reached the place where the fox has to jump way too far to reach a ledge and fell in the water 3 times and had to go back all over again, So I am sitting on the round pedestal next to the big fox statue and don't want to quit the game because the game won't save my place and I will have to do chapter 3 all over again. I watched walkthrough videos and their fox jumps a long distance from ledge to ledge. What am I doing wrong? Everything else in the game is fun - beautiful graphics and music, but the jumping is too frustrating. How can I save my place before I quit? I know where the Save files are in my computer but what do I do with those files to start where I left off? I have a screen shot of where I am now in case anyone wants to know. The ledge is way too far to jump from where I am.

Join the club. Jumping should be enhanced 10% in length and height. There is absolutely no way i would recommend this game for adults or let kids play it. Its a jumping sim walking puzzle game. But often so easy to get lost and trying to jump a spot over an hour to keep falling or miss a second jump is lame.


Save your time move on. This game is not family, gamer oir kid friendly/ I tried giving it a second chance wasted my night. Chapter 3 is a disaster. Try lost ember or first tree.,

Thank you so much Sage Pirotess - I am so disappointed. Like I said, I tried way too long on trying these long and high jumps. I tried for hours just to keep falling in the water. Then I had to go back over and over again. I am so curious as to how were the video walk-throughs that I studied able to jump so high and for such a long distance? I thought I was doing something wrong. I played Xing: The Land Beyond platform game and had no trouble walking/ running and jumping. Like you, I gave this game a second chance. I uninstalled it 2 months ago because of hours of frustration. I installed it 3 days ago and have stalled for 3 days in Chapter 3. I tried but my jumping is not high enough or far enough from one rock to another or from ledge to ledge. I really wanted to like this beautiful game but I have no more patience. Again, thank you for your reply. I am relieved now that it wasn't just me trying over and over again at jumping at several places. Yes, Lost Ember and First Tree are on my wish list. I will most certainly try them. Thanks again for your reply.

I made it into the Chapter 5 and finally gave up. It gets more and more frustrating with all this silly jumping and timed push panels. I honestly wanted to enjoy the scenery and storyline but instead I was forced to try for hours to jump and jump again. And no manual saving at all - how can one make a game where the player cannot save his progress at any moment and is forced to replay long boring sequences from one rare automatic checkpoint to another, is beyond me. One of the most disappointing games I ever played.

same problem.....with every jump I cringe... after hours I would finally make one, just to run into another one down the road a bit. I really did not want to give up...but might have to on this one. IF you think the jumps are hard in chapters 3 and 4, check out the chapter where you must jump through hoops....omg..I looked at that and said to myself...I will never make it through those jumps.. I think the Developers should increase the jump ability since there seems to be many people who are having the same problem. I am glad to know that I am not the only one. Plus they need to add a manual save. it is too frustrating to do a chapter over after spending so much time trying to get through it the first time.

If this is the same part i think it is then i too cannot seem to jump the same ledge. It's really annoying because it is a beautiful game with a beautiful story and yet i always seem to just be slightly off with a lot of jumps. Glad to see it's not just me. It's a shame the developers no longer seem to be interested in the game anymore.

As I previously commented, I love this beautiful game, however, it is too frustrating to keep failing at jumping over and over again. At first, I assumed it was only me having this issue, but I can see now that many others are having the same trouble. This is just one of many places that I tried for over for an hour but kept falling down into the water:

great your the minority. Who cares, you want a prize? Quite a few on threads and even reviews point out how difficult it is. Personly, maybe your a troll. Go for it stream it to back up your claim.

Even the streamers say jumping gets much worse.
