Solitaire Forever II

Solitaire Forever II

Disable auto-flipping/auto-matching/auto-moving?
How do I stop it from automatically....

...flipping the next card in the deck, or in the tableau, or anywhere, in any game?
...grabbing matches, or doing moves automatically without my permission? (Just because I missed them)

Convenient, yes. But you can't learn a solitaire game, or learn from your mistakes in a game, if the computer is doing everything for you automatically, and all you are doing is clicking on the deck. At that point you are essentially not even playing a game, right?

Any plans for these options in the future?

No worries, it's all under your control. Disabling auto-move to the foundations is easy. Simply turn off the "AUTO" button in the lower-right corner when you are playing.

To disable auto-flipping, open the options, either on the pause screen, or on the title screen. You will see a check box to turn auto-flipping off or on.

Thanks again Mike. I didn't notice that. Does the "auto-move to foundations" save that setting per game type, globally, or not at all?

It's set globally, and it is remembered. But it's right on the play screen, so you can turn it off and on easily and often. Some people may only turn it on toward the end of a game when a win is obvious.

You should note that it is an intelligent auto-play. It won't move cards to the foundation if they might still be useful in the layout. So you can actually leave it on most of the time.

Yeah I saw that button, which is quite obvious. I thought it was for something else, because I didn't notice anything at first with it on or off. I'll give it a try.
