Manhunt Crash Fix [For dummies]

Crash fix on modern operating systems / Gate won't open

On Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, and 10, the game tends to crash unexpectedly and suffers from a glitch early on where a gate fails to open.
____________________________________________________________________

1 -Download the zip file Manhunt Steam Fix[community.pcgamingwiki.com].
2 - Extract the zip file anywhere (Recommended on a empty folder)
3 - Drag the files called "link.exe, Manhunt Fix.bat, mspdb80.dll and patchrun.bat" into your Manhunt folder..
4 - Once all these files are moved or copied in the Manhunt folder, run Manhunt Fix.bat and another command prompt will show up, once it shows up press enter.
5 - Now run Manhunt, either from Steam or from the folder

Yes, as i said, for dummies, most people forget too search, i guess i kinda did too, but i already knew how to fix so, might as well share my search.

You didn't even find this, you took it off from pc gaming wiki.

Well, in a way i did found it while searching around for an easy fix, the other fixes where to complicated and adds unecessary dll to your computer, which can be kinda dangerous.
but i get your point, just trying to help tho, and i DID put it right there it came from that website, i love give respect my good man.

The .dll I provided in my tutorial was 100% safe. Got it from ReShade's site. It helps your control panel detect which DX version the game uses so it can lock the FPS. But it's cool to see other ppl are trying to save this game too! I've provided 2 patches in my tutorial as the one you said here doesnt seem to work for everyone, the game crashes when they pick up painkillers :D

I see, this one only fixes constant screen crash and opens the infamous door tho, your guide fix is more accurate, but may be a tiny bit difficult for some people, hence i did this one, a quick and easy fix for those in a hurry to play :D
