As at the start after choosing easiest level it did suggest that not all quests will be finishable.
I have more quests to find than you still, with several seem to depend on random encounters.
The line is included, regardless of which of the three levels of difficulty one selects.
I have found nothing in "Help" or "About the Game" or anywhere else, so far, that warns of a restriction in the number of Quests available. They must surely be accessible, because it would not make sense to include them if they are not. I guess I'm just a numpty.
Only one choice kept the quest in my journal all other choices eliminated the quest from my journal !
Which surely must be a bug? Like if I keep the mask as a memento the quest disappears from my journal totally; not in side quests nor in Finished Quests. Whereas returning the mask to her completes it. Even if I choose the first option of not letting the void win, her quest disappears from the journal.
Is that a bug? ... I haven't been so careful with other quests.
Could I just ask you to check your journal to see if the Pleasant encounter with the mask lady is in your completed journal?
The entries I have in my Completed Log are;
Reconnaissance
Nightly Visit
Dead or Alive
Track down the Forest Ripper
The Tipsy Damsel
I have all of those except for "Track down the Forest Ripper"
That only appeared in my first play through very early on when I really struggled to beat him. With a Dead woman behind him in an Alley. The journal suggest it's a pity we didn't get there sooner to save the woman. So I reloaded to a previous save and have never seen it again ... in three restarts.
I also have 2 other completed quests I think from listening at the Tavern.
Get Swamp Beast Jaws
Reptile skin
The Forest Ripper appears somewhat randomly while out hunting in the forest. He's a guy with a knife chasing down a girl who begs Forlan to save her. It's one of the only two Quests I've seen on the Town Noticeboard, the other one being the Thief Girl who you corner at the Festival one Saturday.
Once you have accepted the Ripper quest (by "keeping it in mind") from the Noticeboard just keep hunting in the forest and one day he will appear chasing the distraught girl. Rescuing the girl branches off into a short separate sequence of minor events with a repeatable event at the end.
The forest Ripper must have a very low percentage chance to spawn.
I've spent a looong time hunting in the forest in this run through up to 115 days, but will continue to try to get it to appear.
In my list the quest after "Indecent proposal"
Is called "Catch the scoundrel" Zeph Flenroy did you want more info on that?
Edit: This quest "Catch the scoundrel" is repeatable and after it is completed, it goes back to
you haven't discovered this quest yet. Then you can get the quest again from the steward, which seems strange.
The purpose of those quests is to raise your Reputation stat so I think the repeating of the same gang boss's name (despite the fact you have already dispatched him) is just a mechanism for maintaining the quest cycle to boost score.
I had not bothered to check my Side Quest Log in that circumstance which is totally dull of me, because, now you mention it, I recall that upon accepting the job there is the usual notification and bugle call that this has been added to the Quest Log.
That is probably the same for the Reptile skins and the Swamp Beast jaws quests picked up in the Old Raftsman which explains the two other "missing quest" entries in my Side Quest Log.
All of that makes complete sense to me and is very helpful Eternie thanks a bunch! I'm sure you've solved my problem for me. Thanks for making the effort to do what I should have done and been able to figure out for myself. I truly appreciate it and apologise for taking your time.
Excellent! So I needn't faff around any more looking for quests I'm already regularly doing.
Also had you not posted this thread and asked then neither of us would have learnt that.
That when the journal trumpet sounds and you cannot immediately get to see the journal ... like in the middle of dialogue.
Not realising that the quest was either completed and moved to the completed section or added to or updated in the side section. Or possibly deleted from the journal totally.
Personally a new journal entry should probably be highlighted so that you can easily see what has changed.
I also was flaffing around building my Strength and Agility up To carry over for Episode 2 so learning what all the quests I still needed to do kept me going.
Forest Ripper I got immediately.
"Dead or Alive", guess it is the medaillion thing. I could have done this at day 80,
but for another 60 days, I am desperately searching for the "River Nymph". Never met her, while being from morning to evening at the river, hunting. Not sure if this is going as it should.
Jaws and skins also done.

Side Quests:
I have 4x "haven't found this quest".
What I am missing is ofc "River Nympf" as said before,
and
"Flaming red hair"
The readhaired girl left the castle on her horse, running from her uncle.
Did I choose a bad path ?
May you tell, how to get a "too much time ..." with her?
"Pleasant Encounter" is also missing. I met the masked woman once, there is nothing in the questlog about her (afair, I refused her coz of lack of money, thinking to meet her again anyway. But she is avoiding me now --- my fault I guess ;) )
The resolution of the "Dead or Alive" quest leads to the conclusion of Episode 1.
River Nymph: Forlan hears about the River Nymph from Anro the other prisoner in the cell in which he is locked up as a result of duelling with Meller Bushe. You need to get the dialogue options right in order to get this information out of Anro.
Flaming Red Hair: If you've already helped the redhead to ascertain the whereabouts and activities of her "brother" inside the Vernen Rose then your next encounter with her will be at the Saturday Town Festival. This is where she ends up (attracted by the activity and music) after having left the castle earlier on horseback.
You've a bit of interaction with her immediately following the encounter at the Festival before you get into "too much time courting women" territory.
Pleasant Encounter: Better stop at the ATM before you meet the Masked Lady, because if you don't or can't pay her the 20 talens for her services (and subsequent offers too), then you will never encounter her again.
Hope this helps.
btw what is ATM?
Red hair: may be I missed the one and only Saturday to meet her at the festival.
Anro: Oh, I tried different paths to talk with him. Apparently not enough. Too bad.
