Why is there no icon on my desktop?

i just downloaded the game and it didnt add a desktop icon to my computer, i tried to take one out of the folder but it would just complain about all the files that arent present blah blah blah, any help? until then, i will just launch it out of the folder

Hey what you wanna do is right-click on san andreas in steam and click on "create destop shortcut" hope this helps:)
btw this can be done on all games on steam^^
