Intro not showing

Everytime I start SA, the intro doesn't show, but it still does the sound to it. Any help?

i know how to fix this , at least it worked for me:
go to the game .exe file in /steam/steamapps/common/grandtheftautosa/ rightclick and select properties(of the gta-sa.exe), under the compatibility tab select: disable desktop composition , thats all , now you should have an intro!

Windows 8 needs a different fix, since that option is no longer available:
1. Select any compatibility option and click OK.
2. Open regedit and browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers.
3. Edit the line that says "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\grand theft auto san andreas\gta-sa.exe" (or whereever it is installed) and replace the contents with "DXMaximizedWindowedMode"

The post is almost 3 years old, if its really bugging you install ASI Loader http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/download.php?f=37262 and Im fast http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/download.php?f=37720

It will automatically load your last save game/make a new game and eliminate the logos, you can get from steam to SA on about 2 seconds.

Tell me if you run into any problems.

1. Download and open DirectShow Filter Manager http://www.softella.com/dsfm/download/E3317C40/DSFMgr.zip
2.Go to the Troubleshooting tab
3. Select Restore standard DirectX codecs

If the disable desktop composition trick doesn't work, you don't need to install anything else.

All you need to do is alt-tab back out and into the game when you hear the R* spraycan logo and the intro cinematics should play out normally.

These all didn't work to have the intro play again. Instead, these made it skip the intro entirely. I'm on Windows 10 btw.

None of the fixes in this thread worked for me.

OS: Windows 10 Home x64
GPU: RX 480
Game: v1.01 EU (DVD)

A great way to fix this, is download the Silent Patch. Inside the SilentPatch.ini file you can change the value on a specific line of code from 0 to 1. Doing so effectively cuts out the EAX and nVidia splash screens and displays the Rockstar Logo and Intro movie! This was the only solution that worked for me on Win 10 Home.

Is this topic still relevant? The problem was solved by disabling antialiasing in the game settings.
