Screenshots not working

Pressing F12 in the game doesn't do ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Anyone else with the same problem or know how to fix it?

Do you start the game with combalitiy modus?

If by that you mean any mods no, game is the vanilla version downloaded from steam and I'm not running any mods.

I mean if you put the gta-sa.exe in a compatibility mode(win 95,98 XP etc.) to fix the mouse problem.

What color depth are you running in? It shouldn't matter, but maybe the overlay doesn't like the 16-bit modes?

I have it in 32 bit mode, just for fun I changed it to 16 (same resolution) and was able to take a screen no problem. Swtiched it back and I can still take screenshots. Even restarted the game and screenshots work fine. Loaded up my game and they work fine there aswell. Then i switched resolutions and it quit working again, switched them back and forth and now I have them working again.

Had the same issue, was on 1920x1080 32 bit.
Switched to 1920x1080 16 bit and back to 32 bit --> solved it

Make sure your in-game interface for steam is on - I'll try F12 later - and check that your key is still mapped to F12 - and check that no keys inside GTS:SA is not mapped to F12'

no thats not the problem, its not about a steam related issue here its the game that makes the issue

I also had the problem, changing the resolution didn't work for me, what did work was changing the compatibility mode, I'm running it on Windows 10 and changed it to Windows 7.

Changing the color to 16 bit solved the problem for me. However if i try to put it on 32 bit it stops working again. I guess i'll have to play 16 bit if i want to take screenshots.

Switching from 1920x1080x32 to 1920x1080x16 and back to x32 worked for me. Now it saving screenshots on F12.
