http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=848465 the only proplem i am having is getting the controlls right so maybe someone on here can figer it out then let me know what you did
From my exerpience. On windows 7 it works perfectly. It does NOT work well with a Xbox 360 controller or keyboard and mouse. Your best bet is to buy a cheap ps1/2/3 controller, or a logitech controller.
^ Personally, I bought a PS3 controller from a friend for extremely low cost, and you simply download some drivers and it's good to go from the default gamepad layout within San Andreas. I've heard people use PS1/2 controllers with a $5 USB adapter, and "non" Xbox 360 controllers should work fine.
Main problem is that GTA has a LOT of actions programmed to the same button, so if you use anything that doesn't resemble a Playstation controller (including keyboard + mouse) it will feel extremely odd.
I have had Pinnacle Game Profiler for over 2 years and Windows 7 64bit. Pinnacle is absolutely the best there is. I have San Andreas set up with a combination of Pinnacle and the key mapping in game. It works great with my 360 controller but it took some time to get it set up right. I would definitely NOT download a profile from Pinnacle because they are terrible. It is best to make your own profile for the game.
