Windowed Mode for GTA:SA (Steam) - Fixed

After searching everywhere I finally was able to run GTA:SA in windowed mode. The solution is listed here: http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Grand_Theft_Auto:_San_Andreas#Video_Settings

it works but the game always crashes in loading screen after starting my saved game

well it wasnt working earlier but i have it now thanks. can someone tell mle where exactly to put it? i copied it to like three different places that i thought might be right but the game is still running full screen.

I put mine in this folder: D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto San Andreas

My Steam folder is in a custom place (D:\Games\). Your Steam folder will be somewhere else but once you do find it use the folder structure above.

For those who the game crashes with d3d9.dll, try to delete Documents/GTA San Andreas User Files/gta-sa.set

So, I've downloaded the mod as well as the d3d9 file. I got this to work once, but after that, it now always crashes. I've deleted the gta-sa.set file. I'm not sure what's going on here. I've had to remove all the mod files just so I can continue playing the game.
