Cannot get past pilot school: Circle Airstrip

Ever since I found out about pilot school I couldn't wait to unlock it. Parachutes!!! OMG How Awesome! And combat helicopters. So the moment finally came, and I unlocked it. I had no trouble with the first two challenges, but the third one (circle airstrip) had me stuck for days. I could get through the first corona without even trying. Sometimes I get through the second one. The third one I've only gotten through a few times. If I can't do this, I can't imagine how I'm going to do Circle Airstrip and Land. The controls I use are W,A,D,2,NUM2,NUM8, Q, E. Any controls that I'm not using?
Any tips on how to complete it?

PS. Which of the challenges are the hardest? Is Parachute onto Target easy or hard?

Have you tried changing camera? If you normally use the 3rd person perspective, try the 1st person for a change - might take a few minutes to adjust, but it makes a difference on some challenges..
Personally I use the cursor up and down instead of 2 and 8, but i doubt that would change anything for you.

As for control tips - as long as im in full control of the plane as I approach a corona, then i find making a micro adjustment in the opposite direction just before entering makes it much easier to line up the next approach.

Parachute is ridiculously easy.
The other challenges depend whether youre talking about bronze passes, or gold - it took me a dozen attempts or so to gold the helicoptor combat challenge.
Gold landing the plane after circling the airstrip was a pain in the neck as well.
