Re-adding Removed Music
As many of you know, Rockstar had to remove 17 songs due to licensing issues. I've been looking around Google, but can't find a proper tutorial on adding music to the radio stations.

Seeing as I purchased every song that was removed from the game in the recent patch, I still have a legal right to listen to the music myself (as I've paid for those songs over the years), so I just need to know how to add the music into their respective stations again (not the user track thing).

If anyone could point me in the right direction on how to do this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Or 3.0. Both downgraders can be found in the same post Silent linked.

3.0 was the Steam version before the recent 2 patches and includes the old soundtrack. Enjoy!!

Thanks for the replies, though I was hoping it wouldn't have to come to that. . .

I was hoping to keep the support for the X360 gamepad, though. Does 3.0 contain that support?

Nope. But Xinput or Ginput can give you controller support and so on.

I tried Xinput when I first purchased the game and I kept running into countless problems, so I gave up. Guess I could give it another shot since it's been a few months.

Sorry you're having to jump through hoops then!

But the 3.0 downgrader is what you want as it gives you the music back and is super-easy to use. Unless you want mods, in which case I'd recommend using the 1.0 downgrader. The link Silent posted has all the info. you need.

Thanks again for the help!

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for a way to modify current radio stations, to re-add the music, without downgrading, but I'll use his patch if it comes down to it.

The Silent Patch is different to the 3.0 and the 1.0 downgraders just in-case you didn't know.

All the 3.0 downgrader does is it reverts your game to how it was before the 2 recent Steam patches screwed everything up for most players. Silent Patch however fixes a range of issues within the game from technical to gameplay to visual, etc..

You're very welcome :)

The latest updates to the Steam version of the game are hardcoded to skip the songs - so don't hold your breath that someone will change that.

As everyone has already said, downgrade your game to 3.0 or 1.0
Can somebody provide a link to a zip or something of all the removed songs in mp3 to put in custom folder? I have my saves and all and i could download them individually but was hoping somebody compiled them like that already.

Bro. I'm pretty sure they removed Tom Petty - Running Down A Dream. Just off the top of my head. So there's never been anyone in the history of mankind that is as wrong as you.
