when u r done downgrading, it willa dd the option... runnign the latest versio is not recommended, its the verison for tablets...

I don't want to downgrade. That was the point of the post. And the latest version is NOT the tablet version. Why do people keep saying that? I've played the tablet version and the PC version is nothing like it.

No it isn't mate. R* would have no reason to do that. Stop trying to plug your guide that's just a rehash of what's already been posted in these forums. The most recent version on Steam still has the car-wobble problems the game had mid last year, and the tablet version doesn't have this issue.

It's indeed not the tablet version, but why would you NOT want to downgrade? You lose literally nothing.

that is what i dont understand, and i wrote my guide in an easier way which i thought more people could easily understand, the writer of the original one adviced me to do it.....

Thank you. Sorry. I'm irritated because people keep telling me to downgrade and asking me why I don't want to blah blah blah. If I wanted to downgrade I would have done that already. I'd rather just stick with the latest version. I'm not going to bother downgrading just to fix my HUD. Everything else in the game is fine.

That's because there is no drawbacks. You still have Steam Overlay, Steam still counts hours, saves still work (although you need a 3.0 SCM which is available on the new too), you gain moddability, SilentPatch fixes, removed songs are back too.

The only improvement of newsteam, X360 controller support, is compensated with GInput too which also offers much more than R*'s implementation.

If you're talking about me: I never "advised" you to do anything of the sort. I appreciate you trying to help out nevertheless but it's clear retrocone is not interested in downgrading and the like.
