Unlocking the Map

Okay, I get it. I stole a bike and drove around Los Santos/Red County.
I think I am beginning to understand why people like this game.
BUT, I cannot explore the rest of the map.
Will this open up as I complete more missions?
Is there a cheat that allows me to open it anyway?
I would appreciate any help here.

Ya it will open up as you complete more missions. Its just like every other gta game where you unlock more of the map by advance through the game. If you try to leave the area and enter an area that's still locked you will get a 4 star wanted level. That includes trying to fly the plane over that area, doing the undrowning glitch to drive a car underwater and then resurfacing on the map, and walking right over to a locked area or swimming across to it. Those are just a few ways to get over to those area's.

What you can do is, Restart the game Don't skip the intro, when the police car gets close to the train tracks You type in "rocketman" Then let it do it's thing... Now you can go over the briges and stuff but you will need to type in the cheat for no cops ;) lol The only way I know how too :D
