The plane that you are chasing is faster then the plane you have to use in the mission to catch it.

Yeah, that mission sucks. Don't know if you want to go to this extreme but check out this Youtube vid. The guy is kind of a smart ass at first but it works!

I had the same issue with this mission on pc.. Impossible to complete, id seriously advice you to use this "mod".. Don't call it a cheat, the mission barely works on the pc version tbh.

Propeller plane chase a Jet.... argh.
You need to fly slightly higher attitude than the jet. When the jet is seen, turn your plane around, do not go down yet. When you are behind the plane, fly down as it will increase your speed. When it's close, tip your plane back at normal level. Hope it reaches the corona.

Well, I figured out the trick: You need to basically divebomb the target from far above to gain the speed necissary to catch the jet. Otherwise it is litearally impossible to catch since it has a higher top speed than your little plunker plane. If you miss you may as well crash because you won't catch up.

You need to turn your plane around just as soon as you see Shamal and it should be easier to dive bomb.

I followed the youtube vid it worked just fine, but the thing is right after i finished the mission there was that song on called all my ex's live in texas so i took off again to listen to it an went to land on a road by pirates in mens pants so i could save an i friggen crashes so now i have to do it all over again.. lol

Try turning frame limiter on it seems to help with diving and flying

Beat the mission back when I fast played the game, it's eh... it's very ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ silly that I had to do a trick roll, flip the plane back up and time it juuuuussstttt right so the Dodo end up right above the plane.
