Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

No controller support on this game.
What a joke. Arguably it's fraud - because although it does not claim controller support most games now have default controller support for Xbox/PS controllers.

Disgusting, especially as this game was originally on PS2 so it shouldn't be hard to patch in a basic control support.

In mine it recognizes my controller and has "joypad" settings.

As Silent said, check GInput mod. It has everything you need to play with controller.

What are you on about? I just tested this with a wired Xbox360 controller and it works just fine.
Have you gone into the options and changed from 'Mouse + Keyboard' to 'Joypad'? Keep everything default and it will play very well.

Some of the functions of the analogue sticks are a little clunky but what do you expect for a game of such age?

No problem, it's working now. But yes the mod is needed.

But I can't seem to peddle fast on bikes... tapping A does nothing.

Idiot. Yet I can play Ocarina of Time on a PC with full Xbox 360 controller support. Learn 2 program.

Why the hostility? R* actually added XInput support in the recent Steam patches.

How rushed and incomplete it is - it's a different subject, though.

Most games NOW have controller support.

Why did you expect a game from 11 years ago to follow the guidelines of modern PC games? Especially one that doesn't even say it has controller support...
