Unable to install SA-MP

I am unable to install SA-MP because when I choose the location of my GTA San Andreas files the installation program wont let me click OK or INSTALL even though I have the correct folder selected + reinstalled the program (making sure all the files are fresh and new) + moving it to rockstar games's folder. None of these lets me install the multiplayer version of GTA SA. Please let me know how to fix this.

You cant play samp with v3 of gta sa and thats what steam has. You need to downgrade your game to v1.0 to install samp

try setting a new download location for steam games and installing GTA-SA into there.

yup.. found the fix. I copied 2 obvious files of 3 from this winrar download. http://www.freeinfosociety.com/downloads/nocdcracks/grandtheftautosanandreas-nocd-1_0-eng.zip?phpMyAdmin=af0f6b4465fe3f904426eaeb3dc0e3fa&phpMyAdmin=Kb2XHnhmhTctZwPmOqks7zD3-sc
edit: with this version none of my cleo mods worked though.. but not really a problem for me.
