Gta san andreas mod installer not working

i was trying to install mods for gta san andreas with SAMI, but when i enter my gta san andreas directory (E:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Grand Theft Auto San Andreas) it says: the installation directory for san andreas could not be detected because it dosen't exist in the registry. please use the browse button to specify the directory. i have downgraded the gta-sa to version 0.01.

You downgraded to v1.0 or v1.01? You said 0.01 which i think to be v1.01

download the one made
by hoodlum then unrar the file and paste it in your gta sa root folder then you can start modding.

gta san andreas mod installer still dosen't work, but use the link in one of anthonys comments to downgrade it and use cleo instead.

I used the file from hoodlum but when i start the game in steam it says missing executable.

Hey, I use SAMI to install vechile mods and whenever i install one (e.g i just installed a cop car mod) the vechile is all black except for wheels and the siren ?

Can anyone help ?
