i can't get past amphibious assault

when i start the mission the checkpoints do not appear and i cannot pass the rock im supposed to dive under

I can't even do the mission because the game won't let me go underwater as well, these stupid bugs a getting really really anoying.
(Sorry that i don't know a solution on how to fix it)
But i heard some people say that downgrading the game and the sillent patch and stuff might work...
