About the safehouse garage in Dilimore: do NOT put more than one car in it!
One car alone, fine. A car and a bike or maybe two, fine. But I made the mistake of parking two cars in that garage and discovered only after saving my game (with the save before that having been a LOT of time before, so going back that far would lose me a good amount of progress) that if you do that there is NO room for CJ to walk into the garage and enter either car. Like they are right up against the walls and against each other.

You can run against them and make them move some, but no matter how much you do it, they won't be moved far enough apart for you to get in one of them.

I tried blowing them up too, but if you do that then the charred remains of the cars stay there taking up the same amount of space no matter how long you wait. And if you leave the garage and let the door close, then it will magically restore them to working cars again instead of making the wreckage disappear.

So I googled it and found other people had experienced the same problem. Thankfully I found a way to get around it without modding the game. (I actually did download a mod to delete cars from garages among other things, but couldn't get it to start.) So if you see this post too late and run into this problem, here's how I solved it...

Get a forklift. You can see where forklifts can be found on the GTA wiki, but the one I got spawned next to the sawmill in Angel Pine. I drove the slow-ass thing all the way back to Dillimore, which didn't take as long as I thought it would, actually. I drove it up to the garage, which opened its door even though there was no room for any more vehicles--not that I minded, since I needed to get at the cars that were in there.

The forklift isn't strong enough or big enough to actually lift up a car and carry it around, but it CAN kind of flip one. That's what I was trying to do after seeing it suggested by somebody else. If one car were on its side in the garage then I'd have more room. Anyway, I wasn't able to do that, but I WAS able to lift the back of one car so that it moved to the left and ended up at an angle, partially resting on top of the other car. I tried to get in, it let me, and I backed it off of the other car and out.

¡Nice info! Although im pretty sure your game didnt start up once you installed the mod due to versions issues, anyway ¿Why did you put so much effort just fixing this?
Well, I was ready to just move on and not use Dillimore any longer if I had to, but the thing is that I wanted to have as many places as possible to repair my police bike. Pay And Spray won't fix those, of course, and I had been trying to complete the Vigilante mission to level 12 in Red County since it seemed to be easier to do it there than in Los Santos. More open space, you know.

Maybe you could have used the tow truck in that situation too and it might have been easier.

If I'd backed one of the cars in then yes, but both cars were facing the back wall of the garage. In the thread I found people were saying that the tow truck can't tow a car which is facing the opposite direction.
