Required to restart/shut down the whole pc whenever it crashes.

hey everyone,
my situation is that I couldn't even load up my saved game, happen recently, everytime I try to load my game, it will crash, I couldn't alt+f4 / open task manager and force it to close, because it just freeze at the gta sa's menu. so the only way I can do is restart my system.

Any possible way to fix it? or should I downgrade gta sa as I saw some forums said that there is some bug in the latest patch? Thanks in advanced.

Does this happen every time you loaded up your saved game or did this just happen once only?

The game hasn't been patched in 15 years. Dude. If it is hardlocking your computer your PC is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.

sorry for super late reply, yes happen like 8 out of 10 times, kind of weird because it started to happen after I reach San Fiero

If by "8 out of 10 times" you're referring to the amount of times your game crashed from loading your saved game, are you saying it only worked twice?

This sounds like a compatibility problem to me, unless you're using mods which you haven't mentioned yet. If anything, changing your game's executable compatibility to an older version of Windows could fix this problem.

Now with that out of the way, does the saved game file you have belong to you, as in you progressed through the game for it or was it downloaded from the Internet?

Well, try changing the compatibility mode for the game executable and see if the problem still persists. I suppose you could try reinstalling the game, unless you've done so already. If none of those work, I guess you'll have to resort to downgrading...
