Missing gta_sa.exe file?

So I've tried installing SA-MP, but there's isn't gta_sa.exe in the Grand Theft Auto San Andreas folder. I've re-installed the game multiple times and verified integrity of the game, but none of those methods work, I do get the gta-sa.exe file, but not the gta_sa one. No idea what I've missed here, any help is highly appreciated.

whats the directory of youre gta sa folder? You have to look in the Steam folder not in Documents.

Steam version .exe is named "gta-sa.exe", only retail version has "_" in name.

I'm a couple of years late but I just ran into the same issue of not having the exe with "_" in it's name.
I just renamed the "-" to "_" and it worked
