I've been using DS4Windows for months now. I use it to play all of the games I own with controller support. It has never been a problem. I don't use mouse and keyboard on any of my controller supported games. If DS4Windows has been working for the past several months on all of my games, then watching the video to 'set it up' will do nothing for me as it already works.
Now back to San Andreas. Everything works on my controller, except the right analog stick. That is what I'm looking to fix. DS4Windows isn't fixing that for me. So unless that video shows me how to fix the right analog stick, it is completely useless.
Again, my controller works fine for EVERYTHING else, except the right analog stick with San Andreas. And if you were to Google, it's a problem everyone has been having, not just me. BUT, since I'm using a PS4 controller, the fix might be different than those of which are found online for the PS3 controller.
That's weird, it works for me on all games.
if that doesn't work try Pinnacle Game Profiler
Yeah you have to pay for it after the trial but it's super cheap
its pretty good tho

Edit: Thanks, though. Keep me updated if you find a free solution!
i use ScpServer its the best but first you need a xbox 360 driver to use it first and i am not sure if its support ps4 controller but i think it does i dunno tbh and sorry for almost one year late replay. and oh i almost forgot to say STAY AWAY FROM MotioninJoy.

do this: get x360ce the 32 bit version. put it in your san andreas folder. run it. it'll create an xinput dll and then it'll search for a profile and configure it through the internet. save then exit. the first time i ran the xbox controller emulator for my ps4 controller my right analog stick didnt work. I got it to work by accident. this is what i did:
i went into options changed the input to joystick. then i went to 'look left' down where its mapped to the numpad. i accidentally changed 'look left' to O. went out of options to test and then I was like ♥♥♥♥, i have no attack now, so i went back in and i changed attack to O and look left back to 4 on the numpad. after I did that i was able to look around using my right analog.
I am also using widescreen fix and gta-sa.exe, the mouse fix. so if it's not working for you after messing w it a bit, get the gta-sa.exe mouse fix and try again.
it took me about 5 minutes total to do it.
