Patch incoming?

After all this time, it looks like they're doing some beta testing. Maybe we'll get a patch or something? Maybe Steam achievements?

The patch included early xinput controller support, meaning it worked with 360 pads out the box without the need for heavy configuration. The default mappings were way better than before, and it finally had trigger support.

It's now password protected, so that's the most we'll get until they announce a patch.

Nabs, are you still in the update/still have the files? If so, can you post a directory listing? You can use the following guide:

Thanks!

Sorry Jack, they updated it and added a PW before I could.

Damn. Hopefully they aren't removing any music tracks like they did for the mobile version. If they are, it doesn't look like they are handling it the same way as Vice City were there were separate depots for new and old audio.

Someone actually checked for that and said that they did remove some tracks. I'll get you a link in a bit.

my custom radio station will consist out of the removed tracks :P
native xinput support is nice but i actually found the mouse/keyboard controlls quiet nice
achievements would be very cool but not gonna happen i guess :(

So far it sounds like the format of the audio files are the same. If so, you should just be able to backup your audio files now then replace the new audio files once they release.

Wow, is that a joke? That's like a million songs, and a lot of these are among the best of each radio station. They better not remove them from the game.

Well, I backuped my GTA:SA folder yesterday. In the worst case I'll made a "downgrader". Just like that to go from 3.0 to 1.0
