That said the only way ill be buying these remasters is when or if they come to steam, not their own stupid launcher.

You can literally get a graphics mod that looks ten times better without paying a cent, gonna be honest here its not worth paying 60 dollars when the characters look worse than original, too cartoony.

I agree that the price is a little bit extreme, it's more expensive then GTA 5 is currently, but it is more then a simple "Texture update", it is an entire overhaul on the three games, for example, now they have the control of GTA 5, so, GTA San Andreas, the best 3D GTA game of all time (to most of us) with GTA 5 controls?
60 FPS support, HD resolution? I don't know about you, but that doesn't scream "Texture update" imagine the day we all install this game; and we don't even have to mod it a TINY bit to run it, we all know the pain with this game, you have to mod it, sometimes you have to mess with compatibility, how nice would it be to just be able to start these legendary classics with no problems? The benefits are far greater then the negatives, give it a chance.
I'm sure they have a refund policy if you honestly don't like it.

Someone already made a comparison of the official remaster against a heavily modified GTA SA with SA_DirectX 3.0.

No amount of mods will be in the same league as the official remaster. Running on Unreal 4, it features effects far more advanced and stuff that the old Renderware simply cannot do no matter how much you add into it.

Not to mention that we haven't even seen the gameplay yet and the quality of life improvements and modernised gameplay is something mods simply cannot do.

Don't forget all the new bugs and garbage corner cutting practices and if it unreal 4 good luck modding and updating the game when it 50 gigs all in a single file....

PC versions already have modern controls what are you on about, unless you mean driving with 2 triggers so you can't reverse and shoot at the same time...
if so they can keep their garbage "modern" controls to themselves and let us keep the mods...

Check the timestamps 3.15 and 4.54 also 6.33 to me these look way better than the remastered. That DirectX ENB is probably the worst ENB to compare to.

We still havent seen the gameplay so I hope ur right about those things, atleast I can try it out for free on the game pass.

Ill stand by what i said the performance issues and bugs seen in the video just can justify it being better. We will most likely see stellar stable performance with the remaster. Although if the GTA 5 graphics shown in the video were cleaned up and the LOD back grounds fixed id say it woud almost change my mind.

$60 is dinner for me and the girl so I'll be getting the remaster just because I like the new art style and want to play san andreas again without the buggyness of the crappy pc port.

I'm in my 30s and I can't wait to play the remastered edition, I bought it as soon as it was announced. I know there is some censorship, like the confederate flag and radio music, which believe me, I'm pissed about... but.. its just too good to pass up all together.

It is also very crappy that they removed the ability to buy the old ones though, thankfully I have GTA 1 through 5 on steam.
