Playing for more than 10 years on pc with mouse and keyboard. It's like any other gta on PC. I didn't like controller when I tried it, at least for shooting not. For racing maybe but all the way mouse and keyboard.

It controls good on keyboard but you might need to rebind some stuff

I switch to keyboard/mouse when I need to shoot a lot ie: gang battles, Other than that I prefer the controller as I cannot drive good at all using kb/m.

I played the game on ps2 when it originally came out also.

it isnt horrible at all, some keys need rebinding due to missions not working well like the lowrider contest but other than that I am very pleased with how a keyboard+mouse works in gta sa. So yeah I'd reccomend it.

I playing old school GTA on keyboard/mouse is the way to go tbh

i played mnk and i enjoyed it just fine for the most part, but the plane controls are ass

I prefer MnK, it's what I used to play this game with back in the day and it's still good.

You have to do some re-binding for special keys in some missions.

Even though a lot of GTA games were designed for controllers, it isn't as bad on PC.

San Andreas isn't an exception, although certain controls can be more difficult.

Either way you decide to play (currently playing with controller for the first time and its night & day difference) i'd recommend you to download this mod to improve the game https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-U599LviCA56EQ6bzlRnzELn_7DzGX3Q/view then go into nvidia control panel and limit your fps to 60 so you can do gym activities without having to enable framelimiter in game, and also enable v-sync and voila you have the definitive version of GTA: San Andreas, the download has xinput for xbox 360 / PS3 / Xbox one & PS4
