Why no Steam achievements?

you would think with a game like this, accomplishing stuff would get you something on Steam

The game has no Steam achievements because no other platform this game is released on has achievements, the game doesn't have Steam Integration either and is from 2004, Rockstar won't bother spending more money and effort into an older game.

Adding onto what Steamed said: the game was released in 2005, before Steam added achievements.

Just googled it, turns out the Xbox 360 version does have achievements but I'm pretty certain it's the only version that has them though.

The game was released on the Steam platform in 2008. I don't think Steam app integration was available then, so achievements weren't possible at the time. They might re-release SA, like they did with GTAIV, which now has achievements.

Steam achievements were released in 2007, along with the launch of Valve's "The Orange Box".

not really PS3,PS4,Windows 10 Edition have GTA San achievements too

I own PS4 versions of San Andreas and Vice City, both of them have trophies.

Yes. That’s true. All of the other platform re-release/remastered version have achievements/trophy support. How come steam version doesn’t include? :(
