Can't Throw Satchel Charge

So i've posted about this problem before and got nothing so im doing it again in hopes someone can help me out since this is halting me from completing the game. As the title says I cannot throw satchel charges.. Solutions i have tried so far include: starting new game, rebinding control, and plugging in controller. None of these have worked and this is really bumming me out :/

its just like throwing grenades. select them as the active weapon. press the 'shoot' button to place them. switch to the detonator and press the 'shoot' button again to blow them.

EDIT: are you trying to throw the detonator? That won't work

nope, no matter what I do, I try to aim and throw, just throw and nothing works. I might just make a backup of my game and reinstall from scratch and see what happens.

UPDATE: Completely fresh reinstall did the trick. Couldnt tell you what exactly was the problem.
