Retail vs. Steam

So I'm trying to consider this...


should I buy the retail or stick with the Steam version and downgrade to 1.0?

It would be easier and cheaper to just stick with the Steam version, and downgrade.

Hmm, I see. I mainly was just wanting to purchase the retail one so that I could own the disc along with the case for it, too. But thank you for the suggestion.

It depends. Do you own a optical drive and want to have the original copy of the game and update it to 1.01 patch? Then get the retail copy, if you want a game that's tied to your Steam account so you can't lose it or scratch the games disc, then get the Steam version and downgrade it.

I mainly just wanted to purchase the retail version so that I had the First Edition and with the Hot Coffee, from the day one release. Would updating it to 1.01 do anything?

1.01 removes Hot Coffee and patches the game a bit.
