Buying from Rockstar Warehouse

Anyone buy this game off the warehouse? It's a digital code, wondering if we get the regular san andreas and not the steam or windows store version.

Buying it from the Rockstar Warehouse gives you a copy of the Windows edition.

When you mean by windows edition, you don’t mean the one that’s 6.99 remastered in the windows App Store correct?

It would give you the remastered version, which is a totally separate game to the Steam and DVD versions of the game. You can't downgrade it and it's otherwise very limited. You're much better off getting the Steam version or getting a DVD from eBay or something.

But the thing is.. the remastered version is 6.99 in the windows App Store.. why would rockstar warehouse sell the same version for 14.99?

I could be wrong. It might be the Steam version. In any case, you're better off buying it directly from Steam.

Maybe it’s not hard but it’s more annoying than the regular version.. as I’m aware you have to download a few things such as a silent patcher?

Not necessarily. All the downgrader does, at its core, is replace your files with the original ones. Some downgraders also offer you the option to install mods, such as SilentPatch, but they're not required.

Hmmm ok, so if I use a downgrader I am able to play samp and download any type of mods? This is really the whole point of me asking.. probably should have just started with it lol

Yep. v1.00 US is the most supported version for modding, and that's the version that most downgraders give you.
