[Workaround] Game crashes when selecting 'User Tracks Player' radio station
Being able to listen to your favorite songs is one of the best features in this game. All you have to do is create shortcuts of the (.mp3/.wav) files and put them in the following directory:

This PC/Documents/ GTA San Andreas User Files/User Tracks/*shortcuts go here*

After that, all that remains is go to the audio options and select 'Scan User Tracks', GTA will then add all of the songs you've copied earlier to the radio station 'User Tracks Player'.

But some players reported that the game crashes when selecting the aforementioned station, including myself. This week I've discovered an interesting workaround for this issue.

When you have CLEO mods installed, the game constantly scans for new songs instead of only scanning when you add new files to the directory. When the game starts a scan, all current songs get deleted from the station (so that they can be added again after the scan ends).

The game crashes because it tries to play a song that no longer exists in the radio station.

The Solution Is...

Disable the option 'Automatic Media Scan' and scan your songs manually EACH time you start your game. Doing so will allow the game to scan your songs only ONCE.

To manually scan your files, select the option 'Scan User Tracks'

I've tested this method for three days with at least 12 songs in the directory, with each one being 4-5 minutes long. No crashes.

Still crashes randomly, even when not pressing F5. I just had my game crash during a flying mission.
