Locking up on loading screen

Title. some times when i start a mission or enter a building, the game locks up on the loading screen and i have to task manager force end it. i can maybe do 2 missions.

Specs are
Win 8.1
Core i5 4590
GTX1050ti
16GB RAM

There's your issue. Having the frame limiter disabled causes a lot of issues like this, as well as physics glitches that cause problems with missions (e.g. not being able to flip a car for Alley Oop, not being able to dive underwater for lung capacity for Amphibious Assault, etc). You should have the frame limiter enabled at all times.

i have the frame limiter set to 60 thorugh the nvidia control panel so the frame rate isnt going into the 100's. i cant play at the 25FPS it goes to with the limiter on. Is there a fix for that?

if you want a "fix" for that you´d have to rewrite the whole games code

the game has to run at 25 FPS since the whole game engine is bound to FPS. It gets buggy you cant dive aiming works different swimming speed gets affected parachute speed gets affected driving gets affected and the game frequently crashes duing missions and cutscenes.

only thing you can do is install silent patch so it will run at 30 FPS

i actually tried to install silentpatch, but of course it didnt work. i just played it for about 20 mins with the frame limiter on, and sure enough it still locked up when the screen went black. i have to save after every mission

You need to downgrade your game

yea you can only use siletn patch with V1.0

you should play on version 1.0 either way since its the best version of the game

v1.01 is the best version if you aren't planning on modding.

I Havent played an older game like this that needs some tweaking in quite some time...if its isnt obvious

you use the downgrader, it basically does it automatically for you, just search on google and you will find video tutorials

UPDATE: After playing with the limiter on for a couple days, it still locks up but ONLY when going from a building back to the outside world. Any ideas? but ill watch that video on downgrading back to 1.01
