GTA San Andreas lag on lowest settings on "good" laptop
Hello there.

I bought GTA San Andreas, and then I noticed something. LAG. ON FREAKIN' 2012 LAPTOP.
Idk why 2004 game lags (like 25fps while using motorbike in San Fierro) on this pretty "good" pc.

Specs:
Intel i7 2670QM 2.2 GHz (4 psychic cores, 8 logical cores)
6GB Ram DDR3
IntelHD 3000 (in IntelHD manager I set it to highest performance)
Windows 10 64bit

First time, I did not use any mods. Then, I found a video about how crappy is steam version and how to downgrade it (Silentpatch, GInput support, 60fps compatilibity). In both versions (steam and downgraded-steam) I had huge lag (performance was the same on high and on low settings)

Frame limiter is off.

Any ideas?

That's not a good laptop...
The processor is okay but the GPU IS TERRIBLE. I know most Intel HD can run games like Minecraft and things fine but Intel HD 3000 is the worst, it would struggle in this game too. Intel HD 4000 lags on this game too.

Yeah, I know. I used to have GT540M inside of this laptop but it idk.. burned out? It's not working. It's kinda strange because Left 4 Dead 2 works in 40fps and tf2 on 70 fps average (lowest settings 720p), so why game from 2004 (and with engine from 2000) lags?!

Because it's open world.

I wrote it, that framerate is the same on high and low settings. And on my friend's computer (4GB Intel Core 2 Duo and Radeon HD *idk which number*) game runs perfectly.

Radeon HD is better than a Intel HD 3000

Also are you sure your frame limiter is off? That caps the game at 25 FPS lmao.

For sure. Even when I installed a mod for full 60fps when I set a camera to look on CJ's tophead I saw clearly 60 frames but in every diffrent moment, less than 30.

Make sure the "FRAME LIMITER" setting is turned OFF in the video settings in the game.

But you know that there is a Framelimiter which is set to ~25 fps? :D

That's why I said TURN IT OFF. It was lagging until I turned it off, and then I was getting 120FPS easy

READ CLOSELY.

FRAME LIMITER IS OFF. I ALSO INSTALLED A MOD THAT LET'S YOU FULLY UNLOCK THE FRAMERATE (very big difference). IN BOTH OPTIONS (with and without mod) THE FRAMERATE IS LIKE I LAPTOP FROM ~2005

So Mr. Capslock, what windows do you have? The answer is Win 10 (29 of July 2015 'till today). And when was this game published? The answer is around 2004 or maybe 05. See any problems here? Try compatibilityoptions for the game (right click on .exe)
