Setting Up Controller options for PC version

hello gamers. I just bought new gamepad for PC and I wanted to play San Andreas with it. I plugged in via USB and entered game. set control options to joystick but in game work only movement buttons. I even cant set other buttons to use. I checked Them and they are working on other games like Pro Evolution Soccer or NFS Hot Pursuit but I can not set it for san andreas. do you guys have any suggestions? I Really want to play San andreas with gamepad because I hate it's keyboard control.

Downgrade the game 1.0 version, install Silent's asi loader, silent patch (this two is recommended) and ginput. (this is necessary) And you need a xbox360 controller emulator.

plug your controller, open xboxce its will found controll settings on internet. And its give a two files. directx1.3 vs.. copy two files, paste san andreas folder. If your controller are xbox, you don't need xbox360 controller emulator. You are ready. Else (playstation) open ginput.ini find "alternative controller: 0" change "0" to "1" well done, you are ready for action!

I bought controller for PC it's not PS's or XBOX's its for PC called besttech USB controller. I will try everything you wrote.

Controller buttons? XYAB or Cross, Circle, Square, Triangle?

well... I did everything you said. downgraded game to 1.0 installed asi loader then silent patch and at last ginput. after this I entered game and it crushed. it keeps crushing everytime

It just says "A problem caused program to stop working correctly. please close the program."

Strange.. try to change compability mode Windows XP Service Pack 2

wow wait! something interested happened. I went to steam file where I had installed san andreas and there were 2 launcher.exe files. I deleted one and now entered game without any problem :/

well another interesting thing is that I mentioned in the beginnng of this conversation that my half controller (left movement part) worked well. now even it doesn't work :/ ingame keyboard/joystick button disappeared and I cant even use my controller now at all :(

I just dropped everything in game directory (as it was mentioned in ReadMe file)

Plug your controller and open 360ce program. Its will set controller settings from internet. Save and close program. It give you two file. Directx1.3.dll and 360ce.ini copy this files, paste to game directory.

Man, it works! thanks a lot! I can finally play as I wanted to. real quick question, Can I redefine button options from this 360ce? because some actions are not exactly on which buttons I wanted them to be.
