Boot quest in the mall shoe store
When you get the boot and return it to the guy for the quest after the first two dialog sentences it freezes the whole game and doesn't complete the quest.

What fixed it for me was plug in 2nd controller and have player 2 deliver the boot instead of player 1 and it worked.
