The mod SDK is quite limited. We haven't exposed any of our assets except from a few.
I do apologies if this is unexpected, this is the first version so hopefully we can improve this.

I was just making sure I wasn't missing anything. I'll have to pester one of my artsy friends! I understand wanting to protect your IP or what have you but down the line if you add more assets I'd be excited to see vehicles and the accompanied scripts, they have a great feel to them I'd like to maintain. As an avid programmer with the artistic capabilities of a monkey, the more assets the merrier. Thanks for the response.
Custom Vehicles is currently not available through mods, however this should change in a future update :)
Also I scripted a rotating carousel which worked fine in unity (using correct version ofc) using a simple transform.rotate but doesn't work at all in game. Are certain unity functions not available to be used?
It is fun to see the sdk being included- I can now make levels for my kids and create absurd things like giant chickens and balls to roll around. Good fun. Hope to see much more added in future for budding modders to get their teeth into.

Yeah we are aware of the lacking examples, if in doubt feel free to have a look how we made gamemodes such as Hide and Seek and Trash Zone https://github.com/RubberBandGames/Wobbly-Life-Mod-Examples
We do plan on adding more examples as we go on
Transform.rotate should work fine. The only thing I know which won't work are scriptableobjects.
Current vehicles aren't available but as for explosions, I suggest checking out the Hide and seek example which includes an exploding barrel
