Lag problem
Hi ppl, Long story short :
2 PC same house if any of the 2 are hosting the server the other pc lag ( the one who join the room )
The host never lag.
If join other server sometimes lag sometimes not depends from the server( any of the 2 pcs )
Would be great the possibility to play on the LAN ( I play with my 7yo and a lot of fun but lagging is a downside.
Thanks

I believe the problem is a bit more complicated. I noticed laggy movement in many online games now, but yesterday we played with 3 people from Germany and one person from Oregon, USA and we had no lag problems at all. Even though I have a very limited internet connection (<16MBit).

So I guess the lag problem is coming from "something", which is neither related to the physical distance of the clients nor to the bandwidth of the connection...

Connections are seemingly peer-to-peer. Influences on connection quality can be caused by other things than just internet like poor frame rates on their end.
If you played Valheim, a player can make you lag even if on their end they're not lagging at all, and that's not fun.

But yeah, P2P networking has numerous factors that can effect how laggy stuff gets, and sure - there's always better coding that could be done but let's not kid ourselves, P2P has never been great as far as I know in playing games for 10+ years.

Hopefully if the game gets a lot more player capacity lobbies, they do some other form of networking.

When I play wobbly life I have a lot of lag so I know a lot about the lag.

When I join someones game, there is of course lag. well maybe for some people. If your the one causing the lag. For you, walking isnt easy. Its like teleporting you really fast. That is so annoying a lot of the time. One time, i was in my friends game and there is lag because of me. My friend got the sword to the ghost armor. and me and my friend went to the secret cave. I got into a different boat to support the sword just in case. When we got into the cave, My boat couldnt fit. So I had to jump into my friends boat. I jumped but with the stupid lag, I teleported pas the boat then respawned farther away from the cave. Thats It. I gave up.

Thats My story with the lag. But if you host a game and have lag. Youll be perfectly fine. EXEPT The fact you still have lag. But no teleporting. Idk how to get better conection but I know about the lag in wobbly life.

The lag got worse since the update too. It used to be 1-2 second input lag and now i am at 5-7 seconds. I also play with my 6 year old. Wish there was a fix for it.

I bought this game for my kid on 1/16/24. It is so unbelievably slow, to the point where she can't play because it constantly freezes. She's upset and I just wasted $18 on it

For me it isn't lag, it's input delay, I have to pre do everything a second before it happens which is not fun, and I hope they fix it.

Does anyone think they are able to fix it?

I don't think you're reading this correctly. He's talking about local LAN. Which has nothing to do with going online...
