Lost all progress?

My player has reset somehow, lost everything. Any ideas why it happened or how to recover save? update* even split screen character has reset?

This has happened to us too. Had to reinstall and progress/wardrobe stuff/pets etc all gone. Still shows we have made achievements on Steam but back to the start when we play the game. I have a devastated autistic child. All information welcome.

i lost my progres and i have alot of hours on the game is there a way to get it back

That also happened to me once. I never found out what happened and replayed the entire game.
