Splitscreen support

my question: Will it have local coop splitscreen support?
I want to play it with my kid.

Yes, currently we support 4 local players, this may change though

When you say that this may change, do you mean that the feature might go away or that the number of players might be reduced or increased? Like OP, I want to play it with my kids, and 4 player split-screen coop is exactly what we're looking for in the game!

I wrote that statement in May, when we wasn't sure whether the game could handle it without being unplayable. Currently we have no future intent of removing 4 player split screen, no need to worry ;)

Hi, how it's possible to play in splitscreen plz ?
I found just Solo or Online game, and in the Online game I just found the 4 players online, but nothing about splitscreen on the same PC.

Go into options, then settings
Turn "Enable P1 Gamepad" to off.
Start your single player game.
Player 1 uses the keyboard. Player 2 can then join the game with the controller. (It's the "share" button on the Playstation controller to join. Not sure which one it is on XBox controller)

Is it possible for player 1 to use gamepad when in split screen? I had it turned on, but two joysticks join game as 2nd and 3rd player...

Select multiplayer and tick on friends only, then host game. Works fone with two xbox controllers on my PC. You can change split screen on the option for vertical or horizontal.

We've been playing 2 player local both with controllers using the solo game - first player starts playing using a controller and second player presses a button on their controller then presses the option button. I don't think we adjusted any settings it just worked.

Is it also possible to change the split screen from horizontal switch to vertical switch? I have a ultra wide screen and it would look much better then!

Yes, in the settings menu you can switch between Horizontal and Vertical split screen
