v1.1 Save Games don't work on Steam Version

I have ordered the full GTA Steam package. I tried to use my older savegames that I saved with my older non-steam versions. But there is one problem - the save games don't work on Vice City or San Andreas because the exe files seem to be different version. I have fixed the problem with the San Andreas save games by modifying them with savegame editor to make them run on v2.0 or newer.
But the problem with Vice City still remains... I just can't find any tool that can make that. I have a saved game which is really good and I have completed almost 100% of the game and I want to finish it. So can someone tell me is there any way I can make my save game compatible with the Steam version of Vice City?

Bad news buddy, Steam saves seem to have a bit different structure and I doubt there's a tool to convert them. You could upload your savegame though, maybe I'll be able to track down the differences and correct them (never really checked what's been changed).

I also have this problem too. All GTA series I will have my save that completed annoyed side missions before finish the first story mission and now I can't use it.

I can't find save converter for Gta Vc too. I only got GTA SA converter.

Saves are in My Documents\GTA Vice City User Files.

OK, so I've tried, it looked like a simple change, but doesn't seem to work for now. I'll try to play around with it more, but it seems more complex than I thought :(

It works with my safe too, but i have another problem, i cant change resolution its still on the lowest and it can be changed....any solution ?

You can change the resolution only before loading a savegame or starting a new game. That is, only when accessing Display Settings from main game menu, not pause menu.
