Recurring characters in GTA games?

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is any actual connections between the GTA games? Maybe characters or like references to them, obviously IV and Story of Liberty City are connected, but what about the rest?

I think I heard some radio host called 'Laslo' announcing in Vice City, I thought I remembed him being a host in IV as well, is that right?

I think the girl from Flash FM in VC was also hosting a radio show in III that was called flashback. Laslo appears in almost all the radio stuff because he the guy who does his voice produces the soundtracks for almost every game.

Ken Rosenberg also appears in San Andreas. CJ travels to Liberty City in a mission of the game. Well, there's a lot of references on all the games, you should check the wiki.

Lazlow's been in every GTA game since III (excluding chinatown wars), he even helped with a lot of the writing in Vice City.

GTA IV is a new era, so there's no CJ, no Tommy Vercetti, no Claude, nor any characters they ever interact with. Strange how Lazlow has carried over, though-- including his past in previous GTA games. It seems rockstar's just picking and choosing what they keep with the IV era.

In San Andreas, CJ meets a girl named Catalina, they have sex a couple times, she breaks up with him, starts 'dating' Claude from GTA III, you race Claude, then Claude and Catalina go to Liberty City, Catalina shoots Claude, bam GTA III.

Yeah, there's a lot of recurring characters. Ken Rosenberg in GTA VC and San Andreas, Kent Paul that's also from VC and appears on San Andreas, Claude from GTA III appears in San Andreas (this event is before GTA III), Jethro and Dwaine from VC also appears in San Andreas. Catalina from GTA III is CJ's girlfriend before she met Claude, which is also an event before GTA III. As far as I remember, that's all.
