Why aren't you playing Vice City Nextgen?

Because as impressive as the Nextgen mod is, I find more enjoyment in modding the original Vice City.

I actually did play a bit of Nextgen, but I found it more fun and a greater fondness for my modded version of GTA VC. Namely, it's the "Definitive Edition Project" mod, which was also unfortunately shut down by Rockstar, which fixed up and improved the original version.

Thankfully I had both the GTA 3 and VC DEP versions on my old PC, and happily transferred them to my new one, and they work like a champ. The original's faster movement and controls is preferable to GTA IV, despite how much better looking RAGE is.

I prefer the janky heavy weighty feeling of the cars in gta 4 and that's basically been jankified even further for this one so driving is so much fun now in vice city. RC helicopter mission just now at the constsruction site was SO hard though.

I do like how they made the destruction of the construction site look more realistic now. The damn thing just collapses after 4 bombs go off on different floors. I wonder if the Haitian drug factor now ends up a pile of bricks.

Controlling vehicles in this version is harder than any RTS game or perfect frame combos in a fighting game wtf

I know it's a pile of bricks. What I meant was that this version actually makes it blow up and has the pieces fly all over the place. The original simply changes it to a destroyed version with a "metal pieces stuck together" texture pile. And just some parts of the factory hanging off.

I mean, just driving and and messing around with pedestrians is quite fun
I havent touched main missions tho, just checking out the map and what was added and what was cut
Cant wait for RC heli and RC plane missions

RC car racing is hillariously easy tho

There ARE certain vanilla flaws from from both VC and IV which ruin kinda ruin experience from this mod. Even have positive reaction towards it and its dev team.
