Gta vice city not launching after downgrade

i recently downgraded the rgl version of gta vice city and worked but then i messed something up when I was trying to replace weapon models so i deleted the file i thought was causing the problem but it made it worse with the game not launching anymore so i deleted the game and redowngraded it again but now it doesn't launch so i deleted the every file i used to downgrade gta vc and re download it back but when i downgraded again for like the 5th time it still wont launch so i don't know what to do and i doubt anyone will know on here but ill leave this post here to see if anyone has a solution.

oh yeah, been looking for some mod packs for gta iii in the meantime, hopefully this latest one I found recently will stabilize everything,

as for gta vice city, try out the reviced mod, maybe it can fix the issue.

I heard about reviced but what does it do

a good overhaul mod of vice city, there are minor changes in the missions like demo man is easier because of open windows, but more time strict due to the said change, quality of life features like teleport out of water when drowning, and replacement of original cars that are just a variation of the normal car (sentinel xs becomes a new smaller but sportier sentinel that is just as fast but more agile due to having a shorter wheelbase)

Does it bring back a ps2 aesthetic like skygfx or is it compatible?

it has ps2 like skygfx yeah, just turn on the trails setting in the display menu in the options menu

Nice one, back up the most stable copy of your vice city somewhere and that is the point you come back to when things go wrong, man.

Demolition man is pissing me off

I use the numpad to control the helicopter's forward and backward acceleration, as well as rotation, the buttons to control the rudder is like turning but also the camera's turning, use the reverse acceleration for precise landing onto the barrel for the bomb drops.

Ignore the hammer wielding enemies and focus on slicing the ones with pistols as they are more dangerous in harming your copter.
