Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

How were Vice City Stories and Liberty City Stories?
Got the series pack from GMG a few weeks ago when it was on sale and fell in love.

How were the PS2/PSP exclusive games? Vice City Storie's 'empire building' stuff sound interesting to me.

You may prefer trying this instead of buying the PS2 version and playing on PC.
Requires GTA San Andreas:

I played both on PSP and I found them to be good solid GTA experiences. If you liked the PS2 generation GTA games these aren't bad games to play. Both have some good backstory for both of the games they prequel, notably how Tony Cipriani became a made-man in the Leon family mafia and how Lance and Victor Vance got into the drug trade. Victor Vance is also an interesting GTA protagonist as he regularly resents having to do various criminal activities due to originally being a soldier in the US army, which creates some nice moral ambiguity.

The empire building in GTA:Vice City Stories is fun and a good source of income but it can get annoying as you have to protect your properties as well. On the plus side, it is more hands-on and involved than the empire building in GTA: VC, with properties being customisable by type of business and level of upgradedness. If I recall you can also go inside them, although the interiors are only unique by type of building not per individual property/location

As long as you keep in mind both were made for PSP initially, you should have fun with them.

Note: I haven't played either game in a long time so some details may be inaccurate.
Yep, you can enter the buildings, and there are side missions too.
