Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

[FIX] - Windows 10 - 1080p - These fixes worked for me
While in Steam
Right click on Vice City, and go to "Properties"
-
Select the "Local Files" tab
-
Select "Browse local files..."
-
A new window opens for explorer
-
Right click on "gta-vc.exe" application and go to "Properties"
-
Go to "Compatibility" tab at top
-
Checkmark "Run this program in compatibility mode for"
Turn on "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)
-
Checkmark "Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution"
-
Do the same thing
-
Right click on "testapp.exe" application and go to "Properties"
-
Go to "Compatibility" tab at top
-
Checkmark "Run this program in compatibility mode for"
Turn on "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)
-
Checkmark "Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution"
-
Now that both "gta-vc.exe" and "testapp.exe" settings have been fixed, we have two more steps.
-
SWAP THE NAMES OF THE APPLICATIONS
"gta-vc" should be changed to "testapp"
"testapp" should be changed to "gta-vc"

You'll need to make a slight difference in one of them at first
Change "gta-vc" to "gta-vc1"
Swap "testapp" to gta-vc"
Change "gta-vc1" to "testapp"
-
Now a community patch that fixes the launch, but also other bugs/graphical issues
-
Available at GTAgarage
The "SilentPatch"
http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=25368
-
"download now" button on the top right under the images
It may look sketchy, but I'm using Firefox, and u-block origin and have no issues.
The website has been around for years and years and years when it comes to GTA.
-
Choose the Download option for "Mar 31 2016 SilentPatchVC 1.1 Build 5 0.087 MB"
-
It will offer you to save a ".zip" file.
Save it
-
Extract the ".zip" into the GTA:Vice CIty Directory
-Which was found here:
While in Steam
Right click on Vice City, and go to "Properties"
-
Select the "Local Files" tab
-
Select "Browse local files..."
-
A new window opens for explorer
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Grand Theft Auto Vice City"
-
Extract the .zip folder here and "Replace All"
-
Now, return to Steam, hit "Play" on GTAVC, and Steam will launch the game, and keep track of playtime and show you online. You can now visit the IN-GAME settings before you play, and change the resoluition to 1920x1080x32 and apply the settings.
-
Works fine for me!
-
Let me know if you need help!

Try to use all of my steps WITHOUT the Silent Patch and see if this works for you.

I ran MalwareBytes on it from my computer and had no issues, and have not heard of issues with GTAGarage before.

Didnt seem to fix it for me. Crashed at the load screen after the "rockstar games" logo.
Also I'm not getting any sound.

I think its just how strong your graphics card is rather than the settings

When I go to the property part, I do not see the compatibility option, how do I do it? help

My theory is correct. You need a stronger graphics card.
