GTA VICE CITY UNHANDLED EXCEPTION ERROR ON WINDOWS 10

i have already done the following:

Delete .set file from your Documents\Vice City User Files folder
Open the Start menu, in the search box type "advanced system settings".
One result will appear, click it.
In the window that opens, click the Advanced tab, then the first Settings button
Go to the "Data Execution Prevention" tab, and click "Add..." to add an exception.
Browse to your gta-vc.exe and select it.
Now "OK" all the dialogs until they're closed.

After all this it still wont open.

You should NOT have touched DEP settings ever. In fact, the game will not crash on launch unless you messed with this option in the past - therefore, restore it back to defaults and the game should work fine.

how do i set it back to defaults? i uninstalled and reinstalled the game still no diffrence

Install d3d8.dll in the folder of vice city :)

Hello, I done the same also, even installed d3d8.dll file, and it worked yesterday and today its not working, and the d3d8.fll file is still in there. But I think I have that error in diffrent address than before.
Btw I have some mods installed. Maybe one of the mods is corrupting some errors ?
