GTA VICE CITY STARTING ALL OVER AGAIN

I was about 50% of the game,then a impossible mission appeared and I cannot beat it,Tried for days,so I downloaded a saved game after that mission and replaced the old one in the GTA VC USER FILES in my Documents.
But when I start the game,I load the new saved file and the game starts all over again from the first mission.I tried using more than 10 saved files,and all starts in the first mission of the game.
Can someone help me?

I've heard that GTA on Steam uses its own special Steam save file. Make sure the save file you downloaded should be suitable for the steam version of GTA. I hope that solves your problem

Someone knows where this special steam save files are located? btw im reinstalling the game now just to be sure

It should be located on C:/Documents/GTA Vice City User Files. It is the regular save file already. But you should consider that GTA on Steam uses different kind of binary compressed save file. So, you'd better pay attention the save file you would download, whether or not it is suitable with the steam version of GTA.

Additionally, if you are reinstalling the game, don't forget the remove the User Files for a fresh start.

Yeah,I realized that.So I found a VC SAVEConverter that converts from the non steam version to the steam version.But it didnt worked,so anyone have a steam save or can convert a save for me?Just add me.
Now I dont even have a save to play,♥♥♥♥♥...

I use "GameSave Manager" to backup and restore all my savegames.
