save game
someone could give me a save game, i tried several, but none got it.

It worked. so I can't change the resolution you know what it is? Ty.

In case you cant change resolution replace the gta-vc.exe file with the testapp.exe file and see if it works. To do so just follow these steps:
1-Go to the folder where you have GTA VC installed (usually your OS folder/Programs(x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Grand Theft Auto Vice City)
2-Look for a file named testapp.exe
3-Move that file temporarly to the Desktop (or anywhere else you can retrieve later)
4-Rename the original gta-vc.exe file to testapp.exe
5-Rename the moved testapp.exe file to the gta-vc.exe file
6-Move that file back inside the folder where GTA VC is installed
7-You should now be able to start your game and go to your in game settings and change the resolution setting

Let me know if it works. I do not know why the resolution gets locked. All I know is from my experience GTA VC is the only game on this trilogy that will lock your resolution settings to the default one (thus not allowing any changes on that setting). This is a way to bypass that issue without having to make a clean reinstall of the game. I only noticed this issue with the steam port of GTA VC
