GTA VICE CITY NOT OPENING IN WINDOWS 10
Game is not opening. I click it does not open. I have tried the compatibility issue. Please help me.. :( :( (:(( ((((:steamsad:

It's an easy fix.

Type Control Panel into search, enter

Next PROGRAMS

Next PROGRAMS & FEATURES

Next TURN WINDOWS FEATURES ON OR OFF

In that section select LEGACY COMPONENTS then DIRECT PLAY. Then Click Okay.

It should go through some processes, make some changes then everything should work just fine.

It's already open there. I click on the game, it says steam is opened, it closes after 1 second, the game does not open at all :(

You need to do it manually to bypass protocols and glitches.

Hi, Thanks but it doesn't work for me : after doing this, at the next launch of the game, it says that GTA : VC needs at least Direct X 8.1.

Seems logic. Why would I turn DirectX OFF ?



ANYONE with another solution ?

I have direct play ON. In my case, it CRASHES in the loading screen "Gta vice city" image (with windows xp service pack 3 compatibility, i tried them all). I feel like Rockstar dont want to spend 0.0000000001% of their money (and maybe 2 weeks of work) to make this game functional for their own fans... Amaing actually:steambored:

P.D. Also tried the 640x480 resolution. Nothing

Yes i did. The same thing happens, it closes in the loading screen.

Apparently, it doesnt matter (at least for me) the compatibility between w98/xp/w7..., the game wont even open if I dont choose the 640x480 mode.
