Now, once installed, the mod will override the button config ingame, so you can't change the joypad buttons in the game anymore, but, if you read the mod readme, it will tell you the button config, and allow you to choose from 5 presets, also it has controller vibration, but if you don't like that, you can turn if off in the ini file as well.
I would also install the slient patch

as it fixes a lot of remainging bugs that were never fixed.
There are other mods, but those two above, I think are must haves.
